Sunshine and Sea

Just a short drive from Casa Ricardo is the seaside resort of Javea, with its beautiful golden beach, swanky bars and restaurants and traditional old town. Javea really does have something for everyone.

This weekend we chose to have dinner and cocktails at the Arenal Beach side of Javea. Here you can find a variety of international cuisines from steak houses to sushi bars; Indian curries to traditional Spanish tapas.

We ate at the very far end of the Arenal Beach in the extremely stylish looking Acqua Steakhouse, with its panoramic views of the Javea Bay and Montgo Natural Park. The restaurant had a vibrant feel with a range of clients from families, couples and young people starting out their night. The food was good and the views spectacular. On this occasion we chose simply to have pizza, but the menu had a large range of delicacies such as steak, burgers, tapas and pastas.

After dinner we walked along the length of the Arenal to the Chabadabada Champagne Bar, which is owned by the same group as Acqua. Chabadabada serves a range of great cocktails and offers happy hours and live music. A popular spot, as it was full with both locals and tourists alike.

On our way back to Casa Ricardo we could easily find a taxi at the rank around the back of the Arenal, which cost us 30 euros, however we offer a collection service for our guests, subject to availability and with 24 hrs booking notice at a fraction of the price.

If you want to experience a lively nightlife, Javea Arenal will not disappoint both in the summer or winter, with its range of restaurants and bars it is a great place to relax, sip cocktails and dance the night away.
